My church is having a U2 music service tomorrow night from 6-7. the whole thing is about 12 U2 songs.

I will be playing guitar for this event.

I'm hoping to see a nice turnout at this... normally I wouldn't post about something like this but I'm excited for it and would like to see it filled

I heard these services pack the house.

Very cool that you get to play guitar for the event. :)

Perhaps to spark some more interest, here is the set list.

Pride/In the Name of Love
Where the Streets Have No Name
Sunday Bloody Sunday
40
Yahweh
When Love Comes to Town
Grace
Pride/In the Name of Love (Repeat)
New Year's Day
Beautiful Day

Oh it was awesome! It was packed too (not a small church)! It was definitely a lot of fun. Looking forward to seeing the DVD.

I do play in my church every sunday. Every sunday I play at 11:01 am at the 11:01 service from 11-12. and most sundays I also play in the sunday night service from 6-7. Both are contemporary services.

Someone wants us to play at some kind of event on July 3... when i find out more I'll post it here. Probably pull out some of the U2 tunes again for that.

Bring the DVD to Carlisle, I'd love to see it.

I told you those service pack the house and it did.

I've heard the DVD sound quality isn't as good as it was live (a different person runs the recording mix) but it should still be good. Hopefully I'll be getting a copy this Sunday.

That's OK, we'll at least get to hear what the concert was like.
Bring it and we'll all hang at the gazebo and listen to it. :)

I will... I'll make extra copies of it once I get it.

Unfortunately, most U2 music isn't playable without a healthy delay pedal. I had to make the most presets on my pedal than I ever have for one gig for this night. Each song had a different delay tempo. But feel free to bring a guitar! Since I'm camping, I'm not going to. Otherwise I'd bring an acoustic. But I don't want to leave my good acoustic sitting in the car during the show (and I definitely wouldn't leave it at the campsite!)

I can keep your guitar in my room if you'd like Ryan.
