Speakers blown out, started smoking

hey guys,

i blew out my speakers on the left side the other day so that they dont play anything at all on the left side but still work on the right. when they went out on the left side smoke started coming out of the speaker box, does anyone know if this is just the speakers that blew or if it was my wiring that needs to be redone?

sounds like dead speaker. my car had a dead left rear speaker when i got it.

Do check the wiring too.
