First Post, Installing Zetec in a Buggy

Wheres the air filter? Last thing I'd do is stick an extension on the tb and run the air filter vertical, so you get good airflow even stopped.

holy crap that's awesome! Did you use those adapter kits from kennedy engineering? That suspension is the IRS right? I've been keeping my eye out for a nice superbeetle cheaply for sale:)

KennyT, I haven't installed the Air Cleaner yet, but, I know what you are thinking, I actually get a rear flow that curls over the windshield and back into the back of the car, so the aircleaner should get good flow. Not as good as a front mounted engine, but I don't think you would notice a difference.

Hotdimmes, you are correct, the adaptor is from KEP, and the suspension is IRS, way better than a Swing Axle. I've seen some awesome German Look Supers in some of the bug magazines. Keep me informed on your search. Check out www.thesamba.com, this is the major classic vw site.

Wow, that thing is badass! Any clue how much it weighs? Zetec isn't the fastest motor, but on something that small, I bet it is!
