control arm bushing

well I'm not sure if your talking about the front or rear, but the fronts your not supposed to replace them you buy the whole control arm. comes with new bushings and ball joint installed. they are like $60 each from ford. so its not bad at all.

Well, hang on . . . there are two different styles of front control arm bushings. Assuming you are talking about the fronts . . .

what year is your car?

I remember someone else on here got sold a control arm bushiing from autozone (allegedly for the front) that turned out to be a rear one.
As mentioned above, the bushings are not replaceable, you need to replace the whole control arm.
Do you know whether you have the 2 or 4 bolts arms? For a 99 I think it will be the 2 bolt. (Are all svt's 2 bolt style?)

how hard is it to install a new LCA on a 98 CSVT? I couldn't find an install guide anywhere. The reason I need a new LCA, is I ripped the ball joint boot trying to get the joint out of the pinch on the knuckle.

Its not too bad, but much easier to do on the passenger side. Took me about 3 hours, not knowing what I was doing and a couple of trips for extra tools. If you search there are a couple of really good threads, one has pics from svtjon87 which help a lot. I don't have time now but if you need I can find the threads.
