I was just thinking, what do you all of you guys do with your old motors when you do a 3L swap?
Hopefully excluding SVT engines. You know, the most common ailment, which seems to be bearing related, isn't a death sentence for any engine. Hopefully the SVT engines get recycled back into the parts pool in some manner as I'd think they are too valuable to throw away.well usually when they swap its because the old one has blown sumthing up or cracked sumthing..meaning the old motor is no good and go to the trash or metal recycle yard

Okay, I should have said that they're not necessarily a death sentence. It kind of depends on the circumstances like racing versus just driving down the street. I think it would be safe to say that in your circumstance, the death sentence was the part where the engine's parts started exploring places that they weren't designed to go.I beg to differ... I've had numerous ones just like this from a spun bearing... and it sure looks like a death sentence to the entire long block.
