Hello,
Just got a few questions for ya, Im not very mechanically inclined so bare with my ignorance.

My tours got a ton of km's on it and I dont have the money right now to do a full swap so I was wondering what exactly I need to rebuild my 99 Duratech V6 in order to maybe get another year or two out of it, if anyone could help I would love a list of all the essentials. Thanks.

Keith

I am confused, if the the engine is running why would you spend the money to rebuild it as that can become very expensive itself? I think you shouldn't worry about the miles and just take care of problem as they occur and be prompt with maintience.

btw my 95 is a few hundered miles short of 200k and runs great, I just take care of what I have to and I am not going to worry about it until there is a big problem.

I'm not looking to do it right away, I just need to know for the future, this way if I see a good deal here and there I can pick it up. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

I got 293,000 km's

I still don't understand why you want to rebuild the engine, is it running fine or is there a problem? if there isn't a problem just take care of it and it should be fine ....just save up for a 3L swap down the road...

to properly rebuild the engine would cost more then a 3L swap!

ooooooooooooooooooooooh, I was under the impression it was cheaper, dually noted, thanks for the advice.

well to properly rebuild an engine it will need to be machined which isn't cheap .... everything is taken apart and inspected and new parts used as needed ...

like I said just take care of your car and it should last a long time.
