transmission mounts

one of my transmission mounts is bad. first of all how do i figure out which one is bad? the engine shifts to the right (passenger side) under cornering, so is that the driver side mount or the passenger side one? also, where is the best place to buy them. i know you can get them from BAT, but theyre like $140 each. is there anywhere cheaper? thanks.

Ford no longer sells the transmission mount so you are out of luck if you were looking to get it from them. I wouldn't be surprised if BAT no longer sells them either as they were supplied by Ford.

Funny - I just got a drivers side motor mount from Steve for 63 bucks...

the front roll restrictor is not sold anymore iirc

alright, i'll just stop by the dealership tomorrow after school and see if they still carry the tranny mounts. i'll probly replace the roll-restrictors too, but i'll get the poly ones from nautilus.

For standard V6 Mystique '95, Autozone and partsamerica.com (advance auto) sell most all motor/trans mounts. I did get a mis manufactured pass. I bought driver's side, front insert, and passenger side.

Got pass side engine mount from autozone which confused me for months; it was put together wrong. the rubber part should slat slightly AWAY from the engine before final mounting.

Even if you can't find the mount, which I think you can, you can find the insert and put it in yourself. Study it for 20 minutes comparing it to the old one!!!
