I am going to be purchasing

Ground Controls in the near future.

I want to hook them up with Koni's but those I do not have in my possession.

I will be hooking them to my current BAT Struts if that is even possible(Until I can afford the Koni's)

Also I wanted to know what else I should get in order replace like mounts, bearings, bushings and things of that nature.

Thanks

no such thing. ground controls even used run 150-200 dollars. new they're 399 +/-.
i'd hold off on putting any coilovers bat struts and just save your money and get the setup you really want done at once. for the cost of konis and ground controls you might as well spend the extra 100 or so and buy the ksports:shrug:

I was thinking about the Ksports off ultra rev, but what threw me off is Koni/GC both have Lifetime warranties...

Also Im not very knowledgeable with the adjustabililty of the KSports.

I know somebody is running the kSports on CEG, I just dont know how to tune them in like the Koni's. If anybody has some insight on that???

i know someone parting a tour w/koni gc's in the front and bat gc's in the rear
i'll find out what he wants for them if your interested

u lose the lifetime koni warranty as soon as u cut the spring perches off to fit the gc's. the warranty covered nonmodified struts i.e. noncut. iirc.

I dont understand, Why would grinding or cutting be required if the sleeves On the Ground Controls are MADE to work with Koni's or another model which is made for stock/ other types of struts.

Seems kinda weird.

they r made to fit by cutting the spring perches off. the gc instructions even tell u to do that. so once u do that, it voids the warranty. if koni and gc got together to design a matching coilover set, then koni would make the struts without the perches to start and the warranty would stand. this unfortunately isnt the case.

Definitely sucks. I did not know that. Well now Im not sure whether i should go with the Koni's/GC's or the kSports which are like $200 bucks cheaper.

Im probably still going to go thru with the Koni's/GC's. As I get them Im probably gonna ask a hell of a lot of questions Like what bearings I might need to get to upgrade the crappy ones I hear come with the GC's

- Amyn

the bearings from mcmaster are listed in the suspension faq if u do get the koni/gc.

Thanks the stuff on your site helped a lot as well. It depends on what is going on right now I might just save and the kSports will be going on the CSVT if not I will go Koni/GC's. My mind is still not totally made up and I am thinking hard. When the money comes ill just end up getting one then asking a sh*tload of ????'s

Thanks:o

OK I ordered the Koni/GC's this morning!

I know I should get the McMaster or something bearings to replace the top ones on the GC's cause the supplied ones suck and fail....

What else am I going to need to put these on. I am not planning to use any of the old stuff!
