found the reason why the car quit running

well i knew the motor was bad but i didnt think it was this bad. after pulling the motor i finall found the reason.
not to purdy cracked/broke the block and thru the oil pan

I saw an engine recently let go like that .... it spit out large metal chunks, blue smoke, sparks and oil all over the highway .... and I pulled it with my zetec :laugh:

it has 3L now that runs great

well ya the person who was driving said all of a sudden the motor quit and all the dash lights came on _ go figure.
well you should see all the chunks and shavings their everywhere tb,uim,lim
if i can find a 3l here in cali that is in decent shape and price i would love to do that but have never swaped 1 before so its going to be a long journy for me since theirs really no one around that has done it

It is easier than you think. Just take your time and pay attention to what you are doing.

If you are going to pull the 2.5L anyway then replace it with a 3L.
