for the last month I have not been getting any sound from my front speakers. They are still factory speakers, but I dont really care cause they sound good enough for the kids movies. I had recently replaced the stereo that was in with an in dash DVD unit, however, the problem with no sound out of the front existed prior to that replacement. I had actually hoped that the reason I didnt have any sound in front was due to a blown channel on the stereos amp, but I doubt the brand new one had the same problem.

Anyways, at first it started by me getting a lot of static over the front speakers then they quit. They came back on and quit a couple more times, sometimes for a few minutes at a time. Then for about a month I had no sound from the front speakers. I checked all the wiring I could access and cant seem to locate the problem. Last night I had my drivers side of the car jacked up on jackstands while I was underneath the car working, and when I got in to test drive the car afterwards, my front speakers worked... For about 3 seconds.

Anyone have any suggestions, no my car did not come with premium sound.
