ok I am having some trouble here. I am trying to get the axles out and I have the spindle off the strut and all that other stuff. got the axle nut off. what
do I do next. I need to get these off asap.

there might need to be pressed out, not sure how others do it but my father made up an adaptor plate that allows us to uses a harmonic balancer puller to press the axle out of the bearing and pull it back in ...

Drop the Y-pipe if you haven't yet. For the passenger side you will see a bracket that holds the drive shaft to the block. Remove this bracket. There is also the intermediate shaft coupling bracket that holds the int. shaft together with the hub-side shaft. remove the two or three nuts there. Have one person pull on the hub side of the shaft while you use a pry bar on the intermadiate shaft prying it out towards the outside of the car. The axle is held into the case by a snap ring that will pop out with enough pressure. The driver side is much easier, but you should still use the pry bar.

Afte you have the entire assembly out of the trans case it will be much easier to remove the hub from the axles if you haven't gotten them off yet. Make sure you have a plug or containers for the mess of trans fluid that will undoubtedly spill out.
