Anyone ever do oil analysis/ZDDP effaciacy?

Just wondered if anyone's ever had their oil analyzed for wear metals and such. I did it, back when I owned a Nissan 200SX, and it caught a coolant-oil contamination issue before it did noticable damage.

I just changed my oil for the 1st time in my 'Tour, and I figure I'll get it analyzed and compare wear metals to the ZDDP-fortified oil that I'm running this time. If I notice a significant diminishment, I'll encourage all friends and family to stock up on the stuff.

Yes people have done it. There was even a big oil test lab back in Fort Wayne, IN when I used to live there. Cant remember the name of it though.

Very good guys to do business with, very good idea to sent you iol in if its a higher mileage vehicle. we always do before a trip just to see how its doing. I would recommend it as they are very helpful, tell you what the metals that are in the oil mean and what to do about it.
