Zorrex, did you try swapping out your coil and wires over just to see how it runs? Or was there a difference between the years?

I don't think mine are any better :laugh:. I've had my car since 59k miles, and its at 95k miles, and I haven't changed any of that crap, lol. I am just going to get new stuff because I wouldn't be surprised if the connections on mine are starting to rust and corrode. No way I'm taking mine apart :cool:

since they both have 96's it shouldn't be a problem.


I don't really suspect the coil as I still have the original on mine ...
 
I'm just afraid the engine isn't doing too well internally :(. The last set of spark plugs were soaked in oil and misfiring...

sounded like a healthy zetec to me ..... the tips of the plug where dry so its fine. THe little bit on a few of the threads is from the valve cover gasket.

I really think you should go with motorcraft wires .... almost 100k on mine and they are still good.

Linds if you want to come buy I can look at the car again and try swapping a few parts with my car if you like

i'll see what i can do. maybe i could win 1 million dollars and then just gut the entire car and put in brand new EVERYTHING..and then there would be no problem:rolleyes:.

i'll do anything just to get my car it tip-topish shape. haha.
