BMW gave my school a couple more cars today. This one caught my attention. Not only because its so sexy, but because it isnt available to anyone yet. Its the new X6. Twin turbo V8 :drool:

theres a wing of my school dedicated to bmw training. every year, bmw donates 3 million dollars in cars to our school to work on. this came in with this weeks shipment

we watched superbad in it yesterday.
teachers will bug the cars and we have to diagnose whats wrong and fix them. they also have hell day. they take out all of the computers(80 or so depending on the model), wiring harnesses, and sensors and make us replace everything.

that is hell, especially since they make you put it back in when you didnt take it out.
Ugh, that must be the biggest pain in the ass ever.

yep. 3 person teams get assigned to one car. i havent had to do it yet. im dreading the day it comes.

Yikes, with all of the wiring in BMWs today. Eep.
There is a guy on bimmerfest.com that toojk his wrecked M5 and transplanted everything he could into a wagon to make an E39 M5 Touring. Majorly cool. The worst part was the wiring and making all of the computers work.

My friend just graduated from BMW training through UTI down in Orlando back in November. the bastard is now working at a bimmer dealership in Madison WI area. he took lots of pics of some very sweet bimmers.

I went through the Ford sponsored training classes at a college in the San Fernando Valley on the GI bill back in the 70's. Then every year the dealership would send us to the classroom at the Ford plant in Pico Rivera to catch up on all the updates and new models. Too bad the plant is long gone now.
