My bad... trying to attack my intake with seafoam left me with this wonderful piece of home engineering (please don't use derogatory terms)(see attachment).

As you can see, that would be a broken vacuum connector into my intake manifold, which is replaced with electrical tape and tubing from a fish aerator.

So... what parts do I need to fix this one up?

Looks like your going to need a new vacuum line, IIRC they are not cheap by any means, I'll let someone chime in with part numbers and such.

needs more searching as this was just posted today

Ok here is the part info.

F5RZ-2420-AE List $26.00 Inet $19.36 (crazy expensive ?)

Also, to release the tube, you press down on the black plastic collar and remove the line from the fitting.

If the fitting also is broken, then you need:

F5RZ-2A411-A List $11.98 Inet $8.92

Thanks for the help y'all. I'll order the parts this week. How do I get the old line off and the new one on, it looks like it's on a really tight fitting that might need some crimping or something like that?

Oh, btw, where I come from, the origin of the phrase in question (as it is generally understood where I come from) comes from bush pilots and owners of other motorized vehicles in sub-Sahara Africa using unorthodox repair material and techniques to replace parts that can not be found locally, such as (in my case) a fish tank hose and electrical tape instead of an OEM vacuum hose, and has no negative racial connotations. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, however.

Besides, we're all African if you think about it:).
