Holy hell that was a PITA to do, but I now have a complete header back exhaust. MSDS headers, Tru Bends y-pipe and catback. Only have the center muffler and holy hell this thing is loud. It's a 3 chamber muffler, but I apparently need rear mufflers put on. Which is fine as the tips don't lineup right anyway with the rear bumper. Sounds nice at idle though.

I know where you can find an SVT exhaust. I'm not sure if the front part is cut up or not but the back half is at least in tact and will line up.

Nice man. Currently mine is in day 3 of sitting on jackstands for the same procedure.

I've only been working on it an hour here, hour there, so it'll still be a couple days probably. So far I have the rear manifold off and one O2 and one nut off of the front.

'Tis the season for HEADERRRRRS!

Congrats. :)

We just completed our third header install last night.

Keep at it Robert, it gets easier. That's a hint so you'll lend LilCe98 and rollinstylee a hand with their installs. ;)

You don't happen to have a sound clip do you? I'm looking to change my exhaust set up since I hate the Magnaflow mufflers on my SVT.

The rear is going to give you the most problem. There is hardly any room at all to work with. The Altenator, rear motor and drive shafts are in the way.

Get some PB blaster and long extensions for the job.

To the contrary, I had no problem with the rear. I actually found it fairly easy to reach all the rear bolts without moving ANYTHING. The front was the real pain. I'm about to go put the Y-pipe, cat, and splash shield back on then fire this baby up, then I'm going to write up a thread on my observations and some sound clips.

Done!

I came out with only 1 busted knuckle. I usually wore mechanic's gloves when I was wrenching on stuff. Several little cuts on my hands tho from when I wasn't. Read up on my experience in the Duratec Performance forum in a few minutes.

Hey guys sorry for the long response time. Does anyone still need help with installing them? LilCee? Willing to help, was a PITA but I found some ways to save time and I'm sure anyone that hasn't finished could use a hand.

Yeah I'm still in need of some help. I don't have the means, tools, or knowledge to even attempt to do this on my own. Let me know when's good for you. I'll drive up to meet you.

I may want to do that too. This weekend Mike will help me with the alternator, maybe it's a great time to do all in once. :)

If that's the case, I will throw an installation party at my place. Beer and pizza for every one. (I recently found out that Costco has in shop made pizza baked to order and taste good).

I was wondering if Robert and others would show up. If so then we may even put in the headers -- not a priority compared to the alternator.

And, that should be me to prepare for the beers. We have 2 liquor stores within 1 miles.

OK, let me start a new thread for a wrench party...

LilCe98, if SVT3391's install gets moved to next weekend, think you could come down the Friday or Saturday night before we do the install. I know it's kind of a hike but we would have at least a few people at your disposal and tools to get everyone's stuff done in a day.
