Was hoping my amps would fit under my rear seat, but don't want to rip the thing out if they wont. Has anyone mounted amplifiers under their rear seat, or know definitely if there is room to do so back there or not?

If anyone has done this, please post a pic of it for me!

New plan man! No room under there...

thats what I said, LOL! At least got the crossover location taken care of!
Now its jsut the two amps, the nitrous bottle, and the subwoofer... hmmm!

umm you would probally have to cut foam out of the seat as its pretty tight under it.

Even if you did, I'm pretty sure the metal structure that holds the seat down, runs through that, sound you wouldn't be able to do it anyways, and also as stated previously, how's it going to breathe.... and what if people sit down in back..... smoooshy.... I'd recommend the back of your flip down seat, or under passenger seat, or back of sub box...

if it is a small amp mount the speaker amp to the rear deck. that is where mine is. it is completely out of the way! that is where i put my door speaker amp. my sub amp is on top of the box in the trunk mounted to 1/2 inch plywood with quick release hinges to remove the sub for more trunk space.

What did you use for your quick connects?

i think what I will be doing is creating a fake floor with a door over the spare tire, putting the subs in a fiberglass box that i will probably build 1000000 times before I am happy with it, and mount the amps on the back so you only see them when the seat is folded down, and put the front crossovers where the stock amp is behind the glovebox, and put the rear crossovers in the doors with the speakers... then i will have plenty of trunk room for the bottle, and can still ahve my spare if i need it!

I put my crossovers in the doors (there was room for them there), and I would be careful which direction you mount the amps. They can overheat if not properly mounted. One bad way to mount them would be wiht the back of the amp facing up on the rear deck, or with the cooling fins facing down.

agreed!

Well, I put the crossovers in the doors, and for now, have the amps mounted on a fake floor i built, but i think some fiberglasss is going to be needed, as i have an awesome idea to install everything else!

I actually was going to do 6.5 inch components, and bought 4 plates that allow a 6.5 woofer and 1-1.5 inch tweeter to mount in the whole without having to plastic weld stuff onto the tweeters...

but i got the JL Audio 570cxi in the back, and XR570Cs-i for the front...

i will get pictures of my doors one of these days and post them up, but it was realy siumple, yet ingenious how i mounted my crossovers... and tweeters!

That's the best I could do with no mounts for the tweets, had to fab something up...

freaking website is down again. I gotta mess with it again... moved my server last night and apparently I haven't got all the little kinks worked out yet, like for example, I need to RDP in and it's not letting me, and I need to do that to get the VM up which has my webserver in it... :(
