I used a Duplicolor Fabric paint on a spare headliner I picked up, and decided I really liked the thickness of the pre-98 sun visors. The car didn't have a lighted drivers side visor, so I ran wires for that. I also painted over the warning labels and what not because I plan on getting some vinyl that says "Sit down. Shut up. Hold on."

98 sun visors FTW!

Never really liked the sliding covers on the Pre-98 or how thin the 98.5+ visors are.

The 98 visors are a perfect mix of both styles.

Your project looks great. :)
I've seen the headliner installed already and it came out very nice.
I like the sun visors too, much thicker than the ones previously on the car

wow that looks really nice

EDIT: i see you still have those bosch icon wipers on there - i loved those wipers!!

That looks killer man, I have been thinking about getting some fabric and some spray glue and covering a spare headliner I have, that gave me the inspiration to do this product, when I dont know, lol

Ryan, Glenn did cover his original headliner in fabric but it didn't hold so well. Plus, it was a bit of work to install the fabric, IIRC. So he got another headliner from the yard and painted it with fabric paint.
You'll probably have better luck painting it, it will be easier too.

Looks awesome! I may just have to add this mod to the to-do list. Completely forgot about different visors on different years.

Just a big heads up. Obviously the more coats you put on the headliner, the darker it will get...but also the longer the smell of the paint will linger on the liner. It may say it dries in ~15 minutes, but it's been over a week and there's still a faint smell of the paint. So give yourself ample time for it to dry out. Otherwise you'll be driving around and getting a headache/high.

Yeah, we were having a party in the garage when Glenn was painting it. :D
