For some reason my ABS just decides to randomly quit, and now its the winter it is actually a problem. Its a 95 mystique 2.0 ATX LS. Usually it happens if I spin my tires, or accedently pull up on my E-brake to accedently slide around corners. But sometimes I just pull out of my driveway and it just turns off w/ no slippage of the tires? Any one know whats up.

I also have TC on my car and sometimes in the winter it would randomly turn off also ... never found the issues, but my guess from searching way back on the mailing list was its an electrical issue and we all know how great the wiring harness in the cars are :help:

Seems like the contour platform is notorious for accidently kicking out the rear end.

Anyway I really hope its not an electrical problem, considering that would blow.
You need to install the new rear parking cables from the TSB. What is happening is your parking brake cable, when disengaged, is not releasing the rear brakes. When you reach the end of the intersection (or driveway), your rear brakes are locked up. Hence, you feel the rear end kicking out.

Contact Bill Jenkins at www.teamfordparts.com. He will set you up with the TSB parts.
