My dream car (reasonable) is available

Beautiful car. Though, I'm still partial to the styling of the 993 :(

I am too. But, the 993 Turbo, in a well sorted example and modded similarly would run $75K or more. Fun to think about, and even plan for, but out of a comfortable zone for my budget. Even if I could swing it financially, spousal approval would be near impossible to attain.

Non turbo is a different story. Sub $30K 993's are everywhere and the patient buyer will find one at that price and in VGC.

No doubt it would win the red light drop and run to 100. After that, or should any turning or braking be required, and the Buick is left at the Vinsetta garge with a whimper and a puff of smoke from its fine 455.

It is a stunning example of a Skylark. Nice find.

Turning? You can turn in those cars?!?!?

993 Turbo

993 Turbo

Nice car!

They are small-ish compared to a 996-on Inside and Out. The creature comforts like A/C not the best....................Haul A$$ and Sound Great, Ummm a handful I Bet.

Not a bad price w/the mods, either!

don't you already have a kitchen?

you're kids looks smart. let them get scholarships.

retirement is boring. besides, that car will hold most of it's value.

when can we go for a ride?

my good friend had a 68 charger that he lost in a big pain in the butt lawsuit when his dad died. they put in the bored and stroked version of the 426 hemi crate motor from mopar performance. it was like a 572 or 512 C.I. anyways, it was upwards of 525WHP. i got to drive it once. nothing like being able to roll smoke on 13" wide tires at freeway speeds. and theere's nothing like turning with no power steering, or power brakes, stopping a block early, and turning with two hands. fun, but only on sundays :)

the real downfall was it had a 15 gallon gas tank, and we had to fill it up twice to get to university avenue from 45 miles away. nothing like 3 miles per gallon! (that's no exaggeration!)

Love that generation 911. Fell in love with it watching Beethoven way back in the day and almost anything they've put out since hasn't lived up.
