Most of the time you get free food and beverages, and sometimes FREE parts that i have sitting around, that you might need... Right??? :)

Lol, so true. I used to know NOTHING about ANYTHING about cars. But now I'm actually building some confidence to do a few things on my own. Sheesh by next year I'll have a lift in my garage and I'll swapping in a turbocharged 3L w/ HMS MTX like BrApple :shrug: :laugh:.

but when ATX->MTX swaps are done, are there code compatibility issues between engine type/code and transmission code? (besides the utter diffence between v6 and I4 transmissions) Is there a certain transmission code that works specifically with zetecs? :shrug:

I know for one thing that MTX75 and CD4E are used on both zetecs and duratec v6, but the transmissions are not interchangeable, AFAIK the bellhousings are different and so are the bolt patterns.

all you need is a car with a mtx that has the same engine and fuel system, then you just swap everything that you need ...
