The car is falling apart...Scanner says that a problem lays in the primary or secondary electrical circuits for ignition coil "a". The rpms drop down and jump back up as I slow down to stop. It sometimes stalks , too.I have 132 k on it , never replaced the 02 sensors, could it be a bad ignition coil?

Change the ignition coil. That should get rid of P0351, P0300, P0301 and maybe P0174. In addition, change the Bank 1 and Bank 2 Upstream O2 sensors. Leave the downstream ones alone for now.

Worry about P0455 later.

What brand of o2 sensor would you recommend? What is a good place to buy from?

Bosch. www.teamfordparts.com or www.rockauto.com

You can also buy from local dealership or Advance or Autozone but they are usually a little more expensive.

Where's the sensor located?

Bank 1 Upstream is the hardest to get to (close to Firewall). We have a how to in Duratec Maintenance -Read First.

Bank 2 Upstream is next to radiator. Stand in front of the car. It is to the left of the Bank 1 Precatalytic Converter (exhaust manifold). Remove the oil filter for more clearance.
