NYC FTL!

I'm just not a city person at all. Huge crowds of people, being too cold or too hot, walking non-stop, are all things that irritate me.

The only times I've gone to NYC (as an adult) was 3 years ago for New Years Eve, and then on Saturday to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

I didn't like it either time. Maybe if I can drag myself out in the summer, on a nice day, for shopping, no rushing, and not holding my sh*t for 8 hours while standing in Times Square, I might actually enjoy it.

My g/f loves the city and I can't stand it. I try to make her happy by at least going a few times.

Well, I can say that I wouldn't give you nickel for New York City. This is not intended to offend folks of a different opinion. For what it's worth, I wouldn't give you a nickel for Springfield, MA, either.

I used to date a girl who lived on 34th near the FDR, so I was down there every weekend for a while, trundling about with fervor in a green Taurus SHO. Didn't so much mind driving down there as I did the lifestyle and landscape in general. The city is so immense that it is often a challenge just to see the sun. The hustle, like the crowds, are relentless, and it's not always easy to escape them. Also, I've never been able to understand why so many men in NYC dress like women -- delicate v-neck sweaters and expensive name brands out the wazoo. Whatever happened to jeans and a t-shirt? This, of course, brings me to the bars. Too much fancy-dancy crap. All's I'm going in there for is a Budweiser. Pool table would be nice, but it don't have to be fancy.

Went with the wife and a few friends summer befoe last. Had a blast, but then again, I was only there for a couple days, so it was all sorta new and exciting. Didn't like driving the SVT through Manhatten, though. Those folks are

Only been to NYC once. It's overwhelming! I love visiting Boston these days but don't much miss living there. Far too many people, traffic lights, cars and potholes.
