Ever have the system stop charging and the battery light is out? Well the light don't come on with ignition on and engine off. No output from the alternator. Mega fuse is OK.

..and the hard and expensive choice is a bad alternator...

It's the alternator. I don't have a place to work on the car so I left it at a local shop.
No - it's not a burned out bulb. Power from the battery goes through the lamp to the alternator when the battery voltage is greater than the alternator output. Once the alternator takes over the lamp goes off. I think the regulator blew out, which would account for it not drawing power from the lamp.
