Well today I was inspecting my front suspension since a few weeks ago Monroe told me I needed a good amount of stuff fixed. Well not to my surprise the control arms were fine and just about everything else, but I ran into this: With the wheels turned completely to the right I can move the front sway bar side to side about 2 inches each way. It is a lot easier to move from the driver's side than the passenger side. It appears that the sway bar link is loose on the upper end. Strange thing(at least the way I see it) is that with the wheels straight it becomes very difficult to move and will not move at all with the wheels turned all the way left. I'm assuming that it is probably just the driver's side sway bar link that is loose and that I should just tighten it down. I didn't have time to take the wheel off today to inspect it further but I'm pretty sure that's what it is. Can anyone think of anything else it might be and is just tightening a good idea or would I be better off replacing the link?

Anyone? I don't want to tighten the link if that's going to create problems. I just want to know if I'd be better of replacing both sides.

haha finally, thanks for the response. Yea I looked it over and I'm 99.9% sure its the bushings. I'm going to replace both links while I'm at it. Thanks!

Sway bar links wear out pretty quickly anyways. They aren't very expensive, and along with the bushings, you can do it yourself for around $70. Buy the "light alloy" version from BAT. You'll be amazed at the thickness difference compared to the stock ones. It's like using a steel beam instead of a twig.
