I got around to fitting my Buckshot Motorsport Lower Inlet Manifold at the weekend to my 3.0L Hybrid Mondeo. This has had the normal max extrude honed done but has also been port matched to my heads & had the butterflies removed as I've been told that the 3.0L doesn't really need them

As per normal I took a few pics along the way so here goes

It started first time with no problems at all & ticks over fine. Not taken it out yet but will be in a minute.
It’s booked in to get the Unichip remapped on the 16th & then I've got a club rolling road session on the 17th with the ST Owners Club. I’m got to change the oil etc before the Unichip remap as the cars going to be getting a couple of days of thrashing on the rollers. Be interesting to compare the rolling road results though.

I'm assuming that some of you guys have done this to your 3.0L's so be interested to hear what you think?

so how does it run

post a pic of your coolant tank is that just a cover?

omg .. pretty much says it all.. luvin it man ... even tho blue is not my color but u pulled it off ...CF face is sick 2 .. wonder if they are still available .. hope so ..

Cheers for the comments guys

The UIM has been chromed & the majority of the covers (coolant tank, power stering, brake res) are from www.mirage.co.uk (think thats right).
The cabin air vent is just the normal plastic one so it must be the pics that makes it look ally

As for how it runs. Well it's pushed the power up into the higher rev range & it feels like it's lost some of the low down torque it had before (below 3000rpm). When you wind it up to over 4k it takes off !!
It's better as I don't have teh noticable increase in power that I had before with the secondaries. This was causing me problems with traction before so thats gone away.

it's booked in for a remap on the 16th so trying not to use it too much before then but first impressions are that it was worth doing
