Las Vegas, NV - In one of the most widely anticipated announcements for Lexus IS enthusiasts, Lexus today unveiled some of the the new 'F-Sport' line of accessories. Items on hand included 2 versions of F-Sport Brake Upgrades - one version features six piston fixed calipers, and drilled cast iron 355mm diameter rotors with a patented internal fin design mounted on anodized aluminum hubs for the front system, while the rears feature four piston fixed calipers and drilled cast iron 345mm diameter rotors. Braided stainless steel brake lines and low-dust performance brake pads are included.

The other brake upgrade on hand was a new carbon-ceramic brake upgrade. The ceramic rotors measure 380mm diameter front and 355mm diameter rear on anodized aluminum hats. They incorporate the same internal cooling vane concepts as the F-Sport cast iron rotors, while significantly reducing unsprung and rotating mass compared to the IS F stock brake system. Kit-specific performance brake pads and stainless steel brake lines are included.

edit: i've never heard of cast iron rotors. never been in the market for performance brakes in my life. wanna answer my question? cast iron weighs a TON more than steel. i dont see any benefits

Every car you see on the road today has a friggin cast iron rotor! LMFAO! They are showing the upgrade to the carbon is all. Dude you might want to brush up on some car reading.

Steeda, are you signed up on my.IS forums? I just signed up a little while ago to search around and get some ideas on what to shop for.

I'm looking around for L-Tuned models, but they are tough to find. I don't wanna get into modding to much, so I'm trying to find a nice factory loaded model.

My gosh those cars are beautiful. What are prices for those cars?

Ya I signed up like 3 days ago. Been looking at what size wheels/offset to buy. Also what suspension I wanna get as well.

The Sport design is cool and slightly different. L-Tuned seems to be next to impossible to find
