is there anyway i can change my display/screen name on here to something else? (hence i dont have one and am not getting a turbo for my CSVT in the near futre)
 
on the old forums you could as you pleased, on here you would need to consult a moderator.
 
consult away... Your screen name is permanent. period.

Choosing your screen name is a one time thing. one account per person, one screen name per account.

You can not change it and you cannot register a new account. Unless the site admin wants to feel.... generous... you're stuck with it.. either buy a turbo for it, or don't!

could he not just re register from a different Email? posts and everything else would start over though but....... I thought you were just talking about a turbo!?
 
I would also like to "alter" my name as well. Ive seen my posts when I goggle my last name...For the world to see.:nonono:
 
No.. he could not re-register... at least.. if he DID, I'd ban both his accounts. a scan of IP subnets would reveal any duplicates within the hour. a new user IP parsing/comparator script would also stop the new account as it was made..

bottom line, it can't be changed.. its is a core site rule violation. one account per person.. period.

the discussion matter is not up for debate. Rules are rules for a reason.

i was supposed to have a name change months ago. whatever happened to that? theres 2 Black98CSVT's on here. things get VERY confusing

well what about the old members that come back and cant remember their logins and open a new acct? they should be banned then right?:shrug:
 
no.. they do "forgot login" and have it sent to them..

or have their old account reset by providing confidential information to verify identity.

Is this that complex to grasp, people?
