I was just looking for some input on what rims would look the best on my dark blue 'tour.

These are not the exact rims, just looking for what colors would look best.

New wheels? Looks like it's time to change your name.

Haha, ya, i just got a job for $12 an hour at ups. Come winter break (2 weeks long) ill work 80 hours, 40 a week. Thats around a $900 check. I'm thinking about it.

if your thinking about putting that much into wheels on a car as cheap as yours, I'd suggest getting a newer car instead of putting that much into an old car

Yeah...you'll get that check and then run into more financial obligations...it always happens like that, haha. I finally paid my car off a week ago and the only money I have going out every month is $85 for insurance, (I haven't decided if I want to drop full coverage yet...) I have about $1200 in the bank and I know as soon as I spend that money on something for the car, something else is gonna break and I am going to be hurting for cash again. Not knockin on the ride man, but save your money and hold on to it. Spend the money on the stuff that needs to be fixed and keep the rest in the bank. Keep on saving that money instead of blowing it, best advice I can give you. Yes, I speak from experience.

I'm sure as hell not spending all of that. LOL. I can find rims with decent tires on craigs list for like $300-$400. Not buying new. Those pics were just to see what colors would look best.

I like the 3rd set of wheels the best, but I wouldnt put black wheels on a dark blue contour. Those wheels would look great if you can get them in just regular aluminum finish.

Those chrome ones look bad IRL. Most Zinik chrome wheels do.

Even though I would never suggest blue + black, those wheels do look good.

One thing to remember or a hint, Wheels off a Focus will fit your Tour also. So check the local junk yards or better check with so tow shops and ask if they have brought in any focus or Contour vehicles with rims on them. I pick up a set of chrome 17" w/tires for 400 off a focus from a tire/tow shop. Leave your number with them so if they do come across some they will call you.

I say you get what you pay for. Do it right or dont do it at all. Your not going to get much for $400. My 17s with tires cost me $900, now my 19s that ill be getting are well over $1500 before tires and depending how many miles are on that car i wouldnt even do anything to it just ride till the wheels fall off or you graduate HS then buy another car.

Nothing was wrong with the rims, they came off a Focus that was totaled in a wreck. Sometimes it pays off to be in the right place at the right time. The retail price for the rims 4 years ago was $800 w/out the tires and they came with a full match set of kumo's 215 \17's which would have cost me another $600. so don't knock what you don't know. Everyone here is just trying to help the kid get the most bang for his few bucks. But I know some ppl love to tell everyone how much they paid for their mods, like those who only wear name brand clothes.

If the Kid was local I would sale him mine for just for the cost of the new tires I put on recently $500 Firestone Fuzions, for I also am looking for some 19"s. I'll post a pic and you tell me if I got taken 4 years ago on these rims.

Thanks Recoveryone. I was just looking. I thought it would be cool. I wasnt gunna drop $900 bucks for this car. those pics were for color purpose only. Like I had said before. With so many miles on the car, i would only pay around $400 for used ones. Not new. Its my first car, I've always said I want to make it "mine". But, thanks everyone for the help on this. Now I can sit in class and dream. Haha.http://www.contour.org/ceg-vb/member.php?u=44783

i say save your money. but those rims im not to crazy about them im not to crazy with chrome on a sport car but TEHO. I dont buy used aftermarket stuff because i just dont know how well it was taken care of. if i buy it new at least i have a reciept and if theres problems then i just take it back.
