Extra wire in right-side fog light access panal?

Hey all,

I had to replace a fog light bulb and when I put my hand in the fog light access panel (below right side) I've come across another wire which is disconnected. It's a rectangle type connection. Is this for an impact sensor? It would explain why my airbag light is going on and off, because I thought the connections were all clean?

Any help/idea's/links?

I have the same thing, I have been wondering for years what that was.

a neon came into my work today with that.

I've just jacked it up and still cant figure it out. I also found a ground wire in there too that is loose.

That might be why my license plate lights are not working...?

That's what I was going to say... I don't remember seeing a second horn on the Passenger's side of my CSVT, but my 99 Cougar has 2 horns, one on each side...

airbag sensors are behind the front grill ...


as said it is most likely the wire for the passanger side horn, got a pic?

The horn plug looks just like what you'd find on a speaker plug.

It's a horn plug. Nice and ready to add a 2nd the way they all should have came. All pre98's had duals. I added my 2nd there a couple weeks ago. Now my horn doesn't sound like arse.

Hmm... next time I go to the junkyard I may have to grab a passenger side horn... Just bolt up and plug it in i'm assuming??

Anyone wants one I have one off my parts car. I ahve 2 actually but each bracket is different. Driver side bracket might work too with a little bending.
