Hey guys, I'm probably going to be selling a hood pretty soon but have no clue what company to use for something so big or how much it costs. I've done a little searching but haven't found much, any ideas/suggestions on a company or idea of a cost from those who have shipped one? The hood is oem style cf so it doesn't weight much, just big and bulky...

Well, I still have the box my cf hood came in, so I'll use that. I may be able to just meet someone too, depending on who goes for it, I'm just trying to cover my bases before I post the ad.

Most of the normal shipping cos. will do hoods, but as Todd showed, greyhound is the cheapest if the buyer doesn't mind having to go to the bus depot to pick it up.

You have to be careful with Greyhound though. It has to meet certain size criteria, which if I remember correctly is VERY close to the actual size of the hood. I brought mine in to be shipped and had to modify the corners to fall within their allowed dimensions. It was definitely the cheapest though at $45 to WI from MI though. Fed-EX Freight, which is the only Fed-Ex carrier that would touch it, would have cost over $200 to ship it.
