I'm trying to get my last front strut assembly apart. I have the spring clamped down with a spring compressor, and I just can't get a good grip on that nut because I can't use a socket, since I need to also get a allen wrench in the strut to keep it from spinning. The nut is definately starting to round and I was gonna say screw it but I looked on napa's site and it's like 28 for each bearing and then 72 each side if I need some other plates or something (which is still bolted on there). Any ideas?

are you replacing the strut? if so just use a vicegrip on the strut shaft and remove the nut ... or use an impact wrench if you can ...

I got it off, thanks guys, ended up using vice grips, and oil filter pliars around the strut mount, and even with the spring compressor, everything flew apart so I don't think I had that on right.
