 The damn thing leaks every time it rains really hard. Other than take it to Ford and pay out the A$$ for them to find the problem and fix it, what do i do?

A couple of things. What kind of shape is the weatherstripping around the halo in? If its worn, you'll want to replace it.

Also, do you have a clog in one of the drain tubes? There's one at each corner of the roof, and if one blocks up, water will pour into the cabin. Compressed air is a good solution here.

im not too sure about the weatherstripping, i hvae no clue about the drain tubes....are they a simple exterior thing? I have never paid any attention to noticing anything like that :/ thanks though. When i get my car back ill hvae to look at that.

My recollection of the drain setup in the Taurus SHO is clearer in my mind, though I don't own a SHO presently. After opening the sunroof, the front drains were visible at the front corners of the sunroof. The rears were hidden by the roof. For a clog back there, the conventional wisdom was to find the drain exit and apply compressed air at that point.

if the compressed air doesnt seem to work what should i do next? it is just blolwing the air back up at me so i am assuming that there is a heck of a clog in there. does anyone know if it is a rubber tube or metal? Draino?

They're plastic, I believe. I don't know how eager I'd be to wheel out the Drano. That stuff is caustic. By comparision, it makes Marge Schott look like Edith Bunker.

How about a time-honored method. The unraveled coat hanger?

I had to replace my sunroof myself, I didnt want to pay some shmo to do it for me. If you cannot access the drain holes through the opened sunroof, take out the headliner(its really not bad) Make sure your trunk is clear cause thats where its gota come out. There are 4 rubber tubes at each corner of the sunroof. Just pull them off and put some compressed air through it.

You can also find the outlets for these 4 drains under the car and apply compressed air there. Be sure to have the roof open and put some towels around the openings so you don't blow the clog/water all over the inside of your car.
