i just cant figure out what its called, the thing in the rear windows where it says contour, whats it called and how do people mod it? thanks for dealing with my stupidity

theyre called sail panels. search for it and look in the stickies. you'll find absolutely everything you ever wanted to know about sail panels
Most people install the pre-98 sail panels. They have raised dots on them and unlike the 98+, they do not say Contour on them.
They look like this:
Not stupidity, you just didn't know the name of them. It's OK to ask if you don't know what something is called.

personally, i have a pre-98, but i'd like to swap with the 98+'s that have the chrome contour logo on them. i think it looks better.

so how hard is it to switch them out. do you gotta like take the entire door off?
Very easy, I did it with my 95. Just a couple of screws. Open the rear door and you will see a screw that will remove the inside panel, and then there are only a couple holding the ext. panel in place. Don't remember the exact number of screws.
