I just changed my clutch. I put in a new spec stage 1, everything works great, except for one thing. It's noisey as hell. When the car is idiling, the clutch makes a banging sound, when I step on the clutch pedal, it stops. The car drives fine, other than the banging noise when idiling. Anyone have any ideas?

its normal gear roll over noise, often aftermarket clutches make this noise louder then with a stock clutch.

That makes me feel better. I was getting pretty worried I was gonna have to tear the car apart again.

i get it with my stage 3 spec as well. i have found that if its doing it just putting the clutch in and then slowly letting it out it doesnt make the noise (for a little while).

Yes but a banging noise? Gear rollover noise would be more of a grinding sound. What is it about aftermarket clutches that cause a sound which emanates from the transaxle to increase in volume anyway?

YEah, banging seems a bit harsh. I would say clatter at worst but banging sounds like some serious contact being made somewhere.
