I removed this from the classifieds as to not hijack the thread.

all V6 mafs are the same ...pcm is what is changed for the injectors ...

Why did every customer for SP Motorsports have to provide their calibration code when they ordered a MAF? Including myself.

I really don't know.

I swapped to a SVT PCm and Injectors in my car but never changed the MAF ... however swapping the PCM without the injectors caused a CEL

also reference this

Always glad to learn more about parts for the car, but now this has been completely confused. When working with SP, we had several occasions where we would have to take back a MAF due to poor running and either send the customer a new one or get his recalibrated. Each one had to calibrated to the specific computer code. Maybe that's the part I'm getting confused on. If the calibration was standard between all of the OEM maf's, why did the Pro Flow have to have different calibrations for each computer code. Not trying to argue here, just find out more info to undo this knot made in my brain now. :)

well with the pro-flo isn't that programmed specific to the car its going on? so maybe they used the computer code as the base of how they set up the programming for the maf

otherwise I am not really sure. I can try swapping my Se to my SVT and see how it runs ... since the stock SE one appears to run fine with the SVT PCM.

maybe it has something to do with the change in 2k when the mafs became plastic and returnless vs return ...

Yea, that I'm sure that the sensors were probably the same for every car. But it just confuses me that the OEM maf's (regardless of SE or SVT) would be the same for every computer code, and the Pro Flow's were different for each computer code. Sorry if I'm repeating myself. I'll go look at my Pro Flow when I leave today and see what markings it has and what my computer code is.
