Turbo kit for a Zetec Focus... will it fit???

Its not a bolt on kit. You will have to modify it. I dont know the extent of it since I dont own a zetec, but I know that the turbo manifold doesnt fit. Im guessing the intake piping is all completely different as well due to different packaging constraints.

I supposed if it did fit, you would expect it would be advertised for a contour as well. ;)

ive been hearing mixed things about these, I just looked at a header on zxtuner.com which fits all of the focus Zetec motors and the 95-00 Zetec motors.

Which means that the bolt pattern is the same. If it bolts to the focus zetec it should bolt to the silvertop contour zetec, which does not surprise me.

However, you might run into a problem of mounting the turbocharger, as there is not a lot of space up there, you might need to trim the cooling fan shroud, either way its not going to be a simple direct fit.

The header and turbo will bolt on, but the piping kit very likely wont match up, so if you order it, get one of those ebay piping kits too so you can run the pipes yourself. And you are going to have to modify the kit to make the turbo fit, nobody has really tried those turbo kits before, so give it a shot.

Im pretty sure Hector had to modify his Focus header to fit his contour.
 
the factory focus header and any shorty focus header bolts onto a contour. the manifold i use for my turbo kit is a factory focus manifold with an adapter pipe going to the turbo. however in order to get it on you have to remove one of the manifold studs. you would be better off replacing all of them with bolts if possible. the reason it doesnt fit without removing the stud is that there is not enough clearance between the end of the stud and the power steering pump bracket.

if you dont mind losing the AC (until i can figure out how to run the intercooler plumbing without removing any part of the system) and are willing to spend about $3500 on a turbo kit plus get tunning from Warmonger then PM me and we can work out details.

That goes for all contour/cougar zetec MTX (cant gaurantee it fits ATX) owners.
 
the oil pan & down pipe on the early zetec are the other way round on the focus zetec.
