Parts interchangable????

My car is a 96 contour 2.0 dohc.
Are the parts off a 97 mercury tracer the same????
Also are the parts off a 98 contour the same?
Im mainly talking engine/tranny stuff.No body parts.

tracer not sure, stick with a CDW27 vehicle and you should be good

Ya I just found out the tracer is a sohc car.I didnt know that.\
The 98 is a 2.o dohc car.But I dont know if they changed anything from 96 to 98.

not necessarily, the 98 model was a Varible cam timing Zetec motor, the 96 was a silvertop zetec, considerable differences. Depends on the parts that he is looking for.
