If you mean by rattling.... you can take care of that with sound deadening material...
If you mean wiring, that is mostly in the eye of the beholder and how you want it to look, if you want it to look clean, get some zip ties and make it look clean!

He only has 2 x SVC 4 Ohm subs currently... so 600x1 @ 4 Ohms is out of the question.... It would be 1200x1 @ 2ohms for the current setup.... If he did upgrade to DVC 4 Ohms subs then yes, he could do 600x1 @ 4 Ohms OR 1200x1 @ 1 Ohm....

I thought I read that he hasn't purchased the subs yet so I was just throwing some ideas around.

I listen to alot of rock. so i will have alot of settings to deal with, so that i can annoy people when i want to, but keep it sounding good the rest of the time. So im looking for both(or cosest i can get with my money).

metal(with the double bass) should annoy the living crap out of the wanna be gangsters

Considering that you listen to mostly rock, you might want to consider going with a couple of 10" subs in a small sealed enclosure. That should give you some nice tight bass but still be able to get fairly deep if need be. I know that it's such a grey area when it comes to the size of subs to use but I'm just going off previous setups I've heard in the past. I've always liked the sound of 10" subs in a sealed enclosure when it comes to rock/metal etc.

true but it tends to be a mix sometimes, and the subs will most likely be running just above min- mid power. until i want to mess with people. so 12s are what i want(whether or not i need them )

True, but the dvc kenwoods(which are what i would get) are out of my comfortable price range

The amps you were looking at were from 300-400 dollars. Spend a bit less on the amp and apply those funds towards better subs ;) Personally, I wouldn't go with the kenwood subs. Some brands you might want to check out are; JL Audio, Diamond Audio, and Infinity. Btw, I would find out exactly what kind of box you're getting before you buy any subs.

The box im getting from the five oh! is coming loaded with 2 12w0's but they max out at 250. so ill be replacing them. Maybe ill bump my sub price up... 2 for around 300.

Ill have the box way before this set-up. Ill be running it with one of my dads old amps...

i guess this is my goal system:

Kenwood KAC-9103D

Tsunami Lite Wave Capacitor

Infinity Kappa 124.7W

StreetWires PSK04BI 4 gauge

Unless either of you have suggestions on different equipment. I do not want to buy off ebay, prefer new equpiment.

eh... just get 3 X 10" woofers.... loud sound and quick bass response.... be the best of both worlds... :)

Could be interesting... Edit: would i still be using that kenwood or something different?

Looking for suggestions on the 3 x 10 idea. Its something ive never looked at so idk much

seeing as all the stuff i listed puts me at like 890. Im gunna try to tone it down a notch. 800 max on the set up(not including box)

You may want to check out http://www.knukonceptz.com/

It is car audio equipment by a CEG member.... should be able to get you a good setup solution....

Also, I personally recommend doing "the big 3" as it's called in car audio, Before getting a Cap.... That would be upgrading your ground wire at the battery, upgrading your batter, and upgrading your alternator and the wiring to it.... This "big 3" comes in a little varying selections, but they all basically are geared at doing the same thing, upgrading the factory powering in the vehicle... A cap is just a band aid to your system.... basically it is meant to give you a burst of power.... but if your alternator can't keep up and keep the cap charged up, then you're back at square one...

Ill check that site out in the morning and thanks for the cap/big 3 tip.

Added: took a quick look... they dont carry any subs or amps... or were you refering them as more for the charging system upgrades

The owner was a member here "not sure if he still is" but his product quality is top notch and so is his service.

That will save you 70.00
You probably will not need a capacitor. If you really want one, get a 1 farad digital cap for like 100.00 or less. You don't need that 5 farad cap, especially at that price! There's nothing wrong with buying new but if you're going to, I don't know why you would want to overpay at crutchfield. You can get a pair of those Diamond Audio D3 series subs I linked to earlier for less than that 1 Infinity at crutchfield!!! Better subs.... cheaper price, hmmmm. Obviously it's your call but I just don't understand why you would want to spend more money to get less??

ill take another look in the morning. thanks for the help so far.

He's more wiring... good wiring for a good price. So if you want the install to look nice, I'm sure his wiring will do a pretty good job..

Personally I'd use Rockford, since I get a discount on it at work, and i don't like to wait for shipping... Also the New RF wire is way flexible compared to their old stuff and some of the other brands of wiring, i love running that wire since it's soooo easy to work with...

Can you get me a deal on some rockford wiring?

Added:I am liking diamond audio and element design...

Also, i dont know where to start with a 3 x 10" system? seeing as i would probly be using a different amp and different subs for sure. I am liking that idea though, i have about 500-700, maybe alittle more, for the system with out getting a box(seeing as it will have to be custom).

Look down i did some looking...

(liked this one more over above, allows me to run at 4ohms with very high rms)

[yes both amps are JBL]

Starting to make better choices lol! I think you should jump all over that JBL BP 1200.1 "not the new one". Both of those sub choices are great. If you go with three dual 4 ohm subs, you would have a final impedance of roughly 2.5 which would probably get you about 1000 watts rms out of that JBL amp. If you go with three dual 2 ohm subs, you're looking at a final impedance of around 1.3 which would get you the full 1200 watts rms out of the amp but could be more risky. That amp does claim to be 1ohm stable but you should still use caution. Your taking a step in the right direction ;)

I think you're starting to get the hang of matching pretty good, now you just need to shop around and find what you want.... You may be able to find some place that will make a box cheap for you, or if you know how to calculate sq ft... you could build your own with some materials from a local hardware store probably... Height X Width X Length.... if you can calculate that, and make each box the same size..... You could make the single box that held 3 subs.... Just make sure each sub has it's own chamber....

If you decide to buy a prebuilt enclosure, I would recommend Subzone. Very good quality and a fair price. They do make a triple 10" enclosure.

i want this to look as good as it sounds!

1. i may go with the next class up for subs From those companies.

2. could either of you make me a custom box or Do either of you know someone who could? ( I know what i want but i can guess no one makes it)

In the amp department, i think im going to choose the JBL GTO-1201.1. this is becuase it will allow me to run at 4Ohm with a very high power rating and it comes with a attenuator to put up front(which i want).
