So what is the deal with the design of the head on the SVT Contour, I am hearing that they have a problem and cause something to happen were you need to replace the motor. Is this true?

The 2.5L Duratec has an oil starvation problem on high RPM (really high I've heard) long sweeping right hand turns, like an on ramp. Some people think it's the baffle in the oil pan, Ford updated this and made a better baffle pan that most people use on 3L, there are like two other thoughts on what causes it though and someone will tell you I'm sure. The common thing is to fill your oil to a little over the full line, about 6.5 quarts, do that and you shouldn't have a problem, just don't take any sweeping right handers at like 6K and you'll be fine.

A combo of poor drainbacks in the heads and insufficient baffeling in the oilpan. So at high RPM when oil is being pumped like crazy into the heads and other parts of the motor it cannot drain back to the pan fast enough. Basically it pools in the heads. At least that is my understanding.

Keep your oil topped off, or even 1/2 quart over full and you'll be fine. Just try to avoid long sweeping right hand turns as already stated.
