But the quantity and character of the dust can vary greatly. If you like break dust, buy a BMW. If you want to compare your car to a car that always has filthy dirty wheels, look at a BMW. If you want a car that wears out rotors quickly, look at a BMW.
If you don't like the above things, look almost anywhere else for those that have "different enlightenment" than the Germans.
Ceramic pads create less dust than what BMW uses, and the dust it does create is less of a nuisance.
Now the Germans claim that their pads have better initial bite, have less brake fade, and perform better when wet or cold. I think the Germans have their priorities screwed up. With a little effort they could still achieve what they are after without the annoyance of excessive dust. Whatever you do, don't try to change a German's mind. After all, the BMW is perfect. It is ''the ultimate driving machine". If you don't believe me, just check with "BMW and Driver Magazine" oops, I mean "Car and Driver Magazine".
Their braking systems belong in the same place as "I Drive", in the trash can.
