I've been looking for an answer for awhile now.. but couldnt find one so i decided to post my problem.

I have a 98 svt, and a few months ago i got the CEL light and it was for the the catlyst efficency below threshold, and my car is doing weird things. Occasionally it will stall at idle, but always if i let off the gas, the car wants to buck while slowing down. And another weird thing is that while driving i hear a hissing sound coming from the dash, ALSO if i turn ANY of the vents on the car seems like it gives itself gas and JERKS terribly, now today i listened to it while opening the TB and it sounded like it was coming from the IMRC... ANY help would be great, Thanks:help:

I sprayed all the lines near my IAC EGR and the solenoid with TB cleaner while the car was on and nothing changed so i figured they werent leaking.. i really dont know where the vaccum lines are or what they look like, that diagram under the hood is no help either .. should i spray the runner?

Spray at the gasket areas. There is a chance your PCV valve (hose) is cracked or broken.

I believe there are also vac lines behind the dash that use engine vacuume to actuate the vents when you change them. This could be your leak and why doing anything with the vents alters engine rpm.

From Tony's post above...

Right in the lower center....To Heater / A/C Controls. If you hear hissing behind the dash I would check these lines.
