I've been following a few threads on here, looking for solutions to this problem.

A week ago, my car started jerking between gears. It first started at higher speeds, but now it does it at lower speeds as well. From time to time, the OD OFF light would blink.

The CEL eventually came on, and I pulled the P0708 code, and replaced the MLPS. This didn't fix the problem, in fact it seemed to make the bucking more intense.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do? I'd really prefer to fix this myself if possible, because I really can't afford a mechanic at the time.

its only done that once, since then nothing... any suggestions to what I should do?

the bucking is less frequent, and only happens about once a week... it seems that after all, replacing the MLPS did help. is there any reason why it would still be doing this occasionally?

Is it when it shifts from 1st to 2nd? If so, try replacing the TSS (Transaxle Speed Sensor). This is located near the driver's side wheel, and has one bolt. Turn the wheel to the left to easily get at it, and use a pair of pliers to twist it out. It's a $20or so part and can I believe you'll need to buy it at a dealership.

My wife's car threw this same code and it's doing horrible bucking, so I'll be replacing this same part once it comes in from good old Bill Jenkins!
