Stock rev limit?

Here's an easy one... anyone know what the stock red line is on a 96 zetec? ATX (if it matters). I've looked through the new and old forums and can't find it.

IIRC the redline is at 6750 on the tach and i think fuel cutoff is at either 7000 or 7250

Anything above 7500 rpms the valves will start to float.....I took my car up to 7500 a few times.:crazy:

ah, rever read that anywhere, just know my 95 has redline at 6500 rpm, and thats where it cuts out when you hit it

well you just said that the newer ones cut out at 6750 and since I have an early one is 6500 ... or did I miss something?

my 97 doesnt cut out (even before the tune) until 7000 or 7250. :shrug:

the redline is in fact at 6500 on the tach.

if i shift my atx by itself it doesn't cut out till 7000, and my mistake it is 6500 redline not 6750.

I let my ATX shift on its own, that way I don't screw up the engine. I figure that the manufacturer made it shift there for a reason, so why mess with it?

Because I made more power above 6200 rpms (when my ATX shifted).:laugh:

my atx shifts at like 5800, sometimes ill shift it myself and shift at 6800..

interesting, all of my cars fall flat on their face when the tach hits redline

my cars will hit redline and the timing is cut and it looses all power, very noticable, have never seen the tach go higher then red line ...
