The Ford Part # for the IMRC connecting rod is:9S5223. The Part # for the nylon retaining bushing(2 needed) is F5RZ-9F955-AM. The parts dep't down at your dealership should be able to print out P-34697, which is the exploded diagram of the intake manifold installation, so that you know where and how these parts go together. The bushing are about $6.50 each, and I don't know how much the linkage is, but it beats trying to dig around in the junkyard and finding old stuff. The nylon bushings get heat-hardened, crack, and fall out. With new stuff, you won't have to worry about it for a long time. Good Luck.

sweet dude thanks.. by the way where do you guys get the diagrams and part numbers, would save me and you alot of time if i can look up needed parts myself.

Make friends with the guys on the parts counter at your local Ford dealerships. They have access to the Ford computer program that gives the exploded views and part numbers for the various systems in the car. The guys I deal with are very friendly and helpful about helping me find the part(s) for which I am looking, and give me the diagrams each time they print them out. I then save them for future reference. If they don't have the part I need, they can search the other dealerships nearby to see if they have it, and tell me who has it.

Fyi, I called to a local Ford stealership today to order bushings for the IMRC, and found that the part number listed in this thread is incorrect. The proper number for the part, according to them, is f5rz-9f955-aB.

The final letter was the only thing incorrect. Individually priced, they have them list @ $8.50, and wholesale @ $7.63.

That is the correct part number for the IMRC bushings (F5RZ-9F955-AB) they're actually $6.55 MSRP... however the rod is not serviced seperately... it's part of the fuel runner.
That's base part# 9U531. They're approx. $1000 list.

Yea, stupid stealership. The parts stores like auzotone don't directly sell these, and I wouldn't trust the low grade nylon used for the inside of doors for a hot engine.

$1,000, Jebus! I wonder how they make up and justify these prices, seriously.
