HDR b4 and after pic request

do you want the three exposures that are used to get something like this?
picture.JPG

or do you just want the one picture that was taken with the correct exposure?

looks for pre98's post on this, he had a normal pic and the one that was HDR of the car in the same spot/time ...

You just basically take a bunch of different exposures of the same picture, then overlap them using photo editing software like photoshop or photomatix :) It's pretty straight forward really and there are endless things you can adjust as far as things like contrast, strength, luminosity, detail smoothing, shadowing, etc.

It's not too bad to use for a first timer even  I have started with only using 3 exposures but I'm gradually moving up to 5 or even 7-8 different exposures.

the way my professor explained it to me in photography class, you take multiple exposures of the same shot (-2, 0, +2 is what we always used), and then overlay them all in photoshop or gimp or whatever editing software you prefer. the multiple exposures allow for greater detail, similar to what the human eye sees. the under exposed shot gives more details in the shadowed areas, the normal or correct exposure gives the mid-level details, and the over exposed shot puts in the brighter details. once they are all combined you have a shot with all the fine details of the dark areas, middle, and bright areas. it's pretty cool :)

Thanks, that's what I was looking for...what you actually need to do it & a simple how-to
