Agreed. Going to JGTC at California Raceway 2 years ago was a blast though. Seeing real Japanese road course drivers, and being able to get up close and personal after the race was awesome.

Its a shame that they may never bring it back to the states. Turns out that because of their busy schedules (races in Japan) and having to ship all their cars by boat freight, it takes too much time and MONEY.

But in general, what is classified as "Rice" is what disappointed me the most. True, people who follow that path have a devotion and love for it, which i respect, but i will never love the 5 foot wings, or the bumble bee exhausts, or the F&F vinyl graphics on the sides of the cars. Or the fact that most i encounter seem to have something to prove, either to themselves or their girl friends, which i usually just chuckle at and go along my merry way, quite normal, which seems to piss them off even more.

I do the same to Muscle car jocks who think they are bad ass.......its a shame most people cannot grow up...but eventually they do. Thats why i am glad that i waited till i was 25 to get my Mustang, atleast i got over my a$$ hole phase of driving and wanting to race everyhting on the road. Or i would have wrecked this car by now.

x2 that, I couldn't go a day in my 78 trans am without a honda civic, mustang, cavalier or what ever these ignoramiss's drive trying to race me. I even got a road racing ticket and had to go to court to win the case over the crap. immaturity runs ramped in rice scene and you also find it in the muscle scene as well. I also cannot stand the look of most of these cars (mainly because I believe in functionality over looks) and would never think about turning any of my vehicles into that. but to each their own i guess:shrug:
