Electro. Wiring Configuration question???

I am the 3rd owner of my CSVT and thru time the people who have previously owned it did certain things that changed the way the car was originally..... well in my case, one of the previous owners INSTALLED a Python Security System with Motion Sensor....
I know Stock contours with the keyless entry have a cool feature or basically most cars. When you press the unlock button the overhead dome light turns on for better visibility inside....

The thing is mine dont... I dont have the original keyless remote, its an aftermarket one! But I just wanted to know how the or which wire enables that feature (overhead dome light to turn on when "unlock" is pressed on the keyless entry remote).....

Reason why is I did the fog light mod and when I press unlock I cant get the overhead dome to turn on which enables the fogs to turn on as well.....

I would start with simple eliminations.


When you open your door, do your dome lights turn on?
Are your dome's turned off completely at the switch?

Everything works properly....... besides that, I am thinking some type of relay was messed with when the alarm system was installed. Therefor when I press Unlock on my aftermarket keyless remote my dome lights do not turn on....

Normal operation was (IIRC) from the KEM (keyless entry module) output to the CTU (Central Timer unit) which provides the power to the lights for the 12 second delay.

You could always find the oem wire that used to run between the KEM unlock output and the CTU and splice your current alarm unlock output in to that wire?

Ray by any chance do you have a picture of the KEM and CTU... I dont have any guides to help me out..
