My 98 CSVT is my daily driver and while it is in exceptional condition it is getting very close to 100k miles and its time to replace the suspension. Both of my rear springs are cracked and the front makes a rattling noise at times like it may have a cracked spring as well, but only the rear is sagging currently.
Due to cost and the quality of MI roads I was thinking of putting 4 OEM struts, OEM strut mount bearings and OEM rear springs in the car. However, when looking them up online it seems that they list the same PN's for the V^ and the SVT, is this right? I thought struts and springs were unique to the SVT? If the OEM SVT are no longer being produced is there any dealer or warehouse that may have a stash of them still? If not I guess Its time to order a BAT kit. I just dont want to put a lot of money into it because I plan to replace it in a year or so (hoping the BMW 1 series comes in under $30k).
