Hey NE Cegers,

I`m taking the family to Twin Mountains this August I`d like to get your opinions on what must not be missed. We`ll be there for a week.

Thanks and have a good one!
..Joe

It's pretty hick up there from what I can remember.
Mostly just nature/history stuff to do. Is that what you were hoping for?

have you visited the website yet?

There are links to hiking, moose viewing, etc.

You could go view where the Old Man on the Mountain was in Franconia, about 20 minutes away from Carroll. I haven't been since it fell, but I'm assuming all the viewing spots and historical info is still available.
You could also go check out Mt Washington, ride the Cog railway, drive the auto road.
A half hour south is Whales Tale water/amusement park in Lincoln.

This link has addresses for the stuff I listed above, and other attractions for that area:

The Flume is awesome. Story Land is good for the youngin's, same with Santa's Village.

I vote for The Flume. Haven't been there since maybe 1987, but always enjoyed it.

If you've already come across to Rtes. 16 and 302, I recommend the Red Parka Pub in Glen. Staying on 302, just after 16 splits off to the right (where it heads toward Story Land), you'll find it on the left after Grant's supermarket. If you run across a bridge, you done gone too far. I recommend the Steak Marinade, but you really can't go wrong with any of their food. Sit in the bar area -- its a fun, rustic atmosphere that blends country hospitality with the cavalier quality associated with a ski bum. The myriad skis attached to the ceiling drive home this point. Worth noting is that they do not open until 4. Arrive early on a weekday if you can -- avoid the crowd.

Twin mountains and moose knuckle viewing. What kind of post is this?

Who knows? You typed it. This THREAD is all about the town of Twin Mountian in NH, where the girls are all................

That, sir, is an existential question.
What impresses me more than the restaurants is the fact that you hadn't been there in twenty YEARS and still recall the specific dish that made the place memorable!
